In the spring I began the process of renovating a mid century chair designed and made by the British firm Meredew. It was quite a process. From removing some very old sticky varnish to sanding and oiling, it took some time to get the chair back to it's former glory.
I then set out to print some upholstery grade fabric and reupholster the chair with my own designed fabric. I had the help of my amazing brother in law Daren Wright. Daren has been upholstering for about 25 years and his skills are second to none.
I was so pleased with the final outcome. I displayed the piece at my Open House in May and sold it to the very first person who walked in the door as we opened. Bittersweet.
