Justine Ellis is a London based printmaker who specialises in original, hand screen printed art and homewares.
Justine is currently Screen printing Fellow at the Royal Academy of Art in London.
Her designs have a bold, textural quality reminiscent of mid century textiles and ceramics. Each print, design or pattern begins life as a drawing or paper cut collage before being transfered into print.
After graduating in sculpture and working as a gallery based workshop artist, Justine taught teenagers with special educational needs before finding her home within the inky world of screenprinting.
When she is not armed with a squeegee, she can be found teaching adults to screen print and designing and facilitating screen printing workshops for people of all ages. Justine also prints editions for illustrators, artists and designers and is available for commissioned work.
If you are interested in wholesale orders or have any questions, please feel free to contact Justine by using the contact page on this website.
All prints are original designs and are screen printed by hand onto archival paper in London.
You will find numbered & limited edition prints as well as open edition prints.
Only non toxic, water based printing inks are used and where possible designs are printed onto recycled paperstock.
You can find print sizes to fit most needs in the shop, ranging from A5 up to A1. Print sizes are very regular which makes it easy for framing purpose.
You’ll find Justine’s designs applied to a range of textiles including cushion covers and lampshades.
All designs are original and of course hand printed onto 100% natural, linen or cotton using waterbased inks.
Our cushion covers are handprinted onto natural, unbleached, linen so some slight variations in the colour may occur due to the natural weave of the fabric. We recommend that you handwash or dry clean your cushion covers to preserve their unique handmade nature.
